My name is Kristen D. Parks, but you can call me “KD”.
I am a Certified P-12 Music Educator & Vocalist from the city of Birmingham, Alabama. I am in a new season of education, inspiration, entertainment & motivation, and I’m very excited to share all of that with you.
In my 10 years as an active vocalist & music educator, I have utilized my skills in many different educational settings & performance venues throughout the city. I work along side of some of our city’s most instrumental & well-rounded arts educators, and I perform with a band comprised of musicians who are extremely talented and well-versed in all musical genres.
In 2015, I started an inspirational brand called “BE REAL ABOUT IT!”, where I began designing my own inspirational statement apparel. The brand represents the achievement of your realest & highest self,
and elevating yourself to new heights & new creativity. Within the brand, I also offer a host of services that speak to the spirit & excite the soul.
In my spare time, I love to interact with many of my former female students. It is fun & important to me to see them develop in all of the right ways and to have outlets through which they can express themselves creatively & freely. I know many of them look to me as a motherly figure, and I believe that it’s my assignment to help play a role in showing each & every one of them how it looks to create the life you want to live, as well as to provide support & encouragement to their families, especially for their own mothers.
As COVID-19 has set the world ablaze, I feel that it’s imperative to use this time to evaluate, educate & entertain ideas that will keep you encouraged & moving forward towards better in all areas of life.
My goal is to continue to grow in my craft, to bring all of my knowledge & talent to the forefront and to share as much of it as I can in order to uplift somebody else. I seek to inspire others through music & education, in hopes of enlightening their spirits & bringing soul and joy to their lives.
