Vocational Education and Training (VET) in schools provides opportunities for students in Years 10-12 to develop an understanding of the workforce, undertake training in specific industry skills and gain credit towards a nationally recognised qualification such as a certificate, diploma or advanced diploma while undertaking the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE).

Then鈥ake an appointment via direqt message discuss your ideas with Mrs Cathro to find out more and to get the forms you need to complete. She is available any day after school 3-4pm, most days at various times and lunchtime on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Before you start a VET course, you need to have the following:
Unique Student Identifier: 10 digit reference number that creates an online record of your training and qualifications attained in Australia. Go to with personal ID to get your number.
SACE ID: this is created by the SACE Board for each student. You can get this from school if you do not know it.
Application forms completed before the due date.
SACE plan completed
Commitment to Pay form completed
DHS Working with Children Check if doing Early Childhood or Individual Support
You may need to attend an information or enrolment session
You may need to do a Literacy, Language and Numeracy (LLN) test
You need to receive confirmation of being successful in gaining a place in your course – usually via email
You need to have ALL paperwork completed and handed into Mrs Cathro
